The Legion is laid out directly in the Constitution as an armed force to serve the Senate of the Republic. Roma Invicta's military is known as the Legion of Roma Invicta (LRI). The founder account can not run for office, declare war or peace without permission from the senate. The Founder account is used only for factbook administration and last line of defense for regional security from barbarian raiders. They have the ability to select any citizen to the positions in the Tribune Council to assist them in the day to day activities of the republic during their administration.Īccount acts independently from the rest of the region. Consuls serve as Head of State with a three month term. If absolutely needed, and no other regional officers are available, then the Pro-consul may ask for the Senate to declear a specific state of emergency and have the Founder lock the WAD and lead the Legion themselves for an out of region mission. In which case the Pro-consul must remain in the region as WAD, and the Co-consul leads the Legion into battle. Both Consuls hold military control over the Legion, but need Senate approval for declaration of wars. The office also may serve a Governor of a province overseen by Roma Invicta, as well as serve as an officer in the Legion of Roma Invicta if needed by the Co-consul.Ĭan be elected from both classes and has the ability to call on the Senate for a session and set the agenda for that session. In times of war a Preator may also help command or lead a group of the Legion in an operation. Some of these former Consuls may be plebians elected to Consulship and hold voice in the Senate chambers, or some have been adopted by a patrician family and are no longer plebs. Usually are members of the founding families of the patrician class, former Consuls also serve life membership in the Senate after their term of office.

Provinces are allowed some autonomy over their affairs so long as they do not conflict with region-wide law or the Constitution of Roma Invicta. They have the same power as Consul in these province’s, but answer to the Senate of Roma Invicta. Should they have a tie, then a revote must cycle through both the Senate and Concilium till a decision has been concluded.Īre elected by and within the Senate to govern over a province that is under the protectorate of Roma Invicta. Should the Senate have a tie vote, then the Plebian Assembly (concilium plebis) will vote on the decision. Both Consuls can veto eachother decisions, in which a voted decision will be made by the Senate to decide the veto. Government officials are selected by the Consuls themselves, but are approved by the Senate. The Consuls can conduct census and complete administrative duties such as ensuring class citizens are still WA members, that their WA where abouts are up to date, and that other government officials are completing their duty to the republic. The Senate can also temporarily vote in any Patrician or Plebian to be Dictator Consul for up to 6 months. The Senate can appoint a Dictator if a motion is passed in the Senate to declear a state of emergency. The first Pro-consul is elected as the World Assembly Delegate of Roma Invicta, and the second Co-consul is elected as Speaker of the Senate and head of the Legion of Roma Invicta. The two Consuls are elected from the Patrician and Plebian class, and hold office for three months. The Senate is ruled by the Patrician class, and they write the bills and cast vote, set approval for the Consuls nominations, and create offices for the Tribunal Council. The Plebian Assembly (concilium plebis) is made up of citizens from the Plebians class, and they can only vote in the intrest of the plebs and the republic when a bill from the Senate is passed down to them. Roma Invicta has three branches in its political system which begins at the Plebians Assembly level.
